TOWSON, Md. – Isabel Rayner has been named an assistant coach of the men's and women's swimming & diving team at Towson University, she will serve as the diving coach. Swimming & Diving Head Coach
Anthony Bruno announced Friday afternoon.
"I'm very excited to be joining a team with such great staff and student-athletes," Rayner said. "I look forward to watching them improve in and out of the pool throughout the rest of the season."
Rayner comes to Towson after spending the past two years as an Assistant Dive Coach at Rippin' Dawgs Dive Club at UMBC where she developed and implemented diving training programs. She also has served as the Head Dive Coach of the Regency Estates Swim Club since 2013.
"I am looking forward to having Izzy as a part of our staff, Coach Bruno said. "Izzy, having competed at UMBC, knows the area well and will be able to step in and make an impact with recruiting. Izzy's knowledge and passion for diving is contagious, I know she'll bring great energy to the deck each day."
Rayner graduated from UMBC in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Studies and a Minor in Psychology. She dove for the Retrievers from 2017-2021 and was named a team captain for the 2020-2021 season.
