GREENSBORO, N.C. – Sean Colson Qualified for the C Final in the 100 Back at the US Open after finishing 21^st with a time of 49.00 second in the preliminary heats. The Junior finished fifth in his heat and 21^st overall with a time of 49.31 seconds in the finals.
 
Colson was the only Tiger to advance past the preliminary rounds in the first three days of the US Open. Kirill Pankov (1:50.78) and Geoffrey Cradock (55.38) finished one spot off qualifying for the finals as both placed 25^th in the 200 IM and 100 Breast prelims respectively.
 
Also on Thursday, Stephen McDonald placed 29^th in the 500 Free prelims with a time of 4:34.41. In the 50 Free, Daniel McLaughlin, Luke Schwar, and Benjamin Eischeid finished 37^th (20.58), 41^st (20.67), and 46^th (20.82) respectively.
 
Also on Friday, Eischeid came two spots short of finals qualification in the 100 Fly finishing 26^th with a time of 48.92. Anthony Mortellite, Schwar, and McDonald came in 31^st  (1:39.59), 34^th  (1:39.91), and 39^th (1:40.69) respectively in the 200 Free. Then in the women's 100 Breast, Tink Tompkins tied for 30^th with a time of 1:03.50, and Tiffany Matulis finished 44^th with a time of 1:04.51.
