Flacco, Lumor Agree to Terms with UFL Teams for 2024

TOWSON, Md. – Two former Towson University players, Tom Flacco and Elorm Lumor, will look to make their mark in 2024, signing with teams in the United Football League (UFL) on Wednesday.

Flacco signed with the San Antonio Brahmas while Lumor signed with the St. Louis Battlehawks.  The news was announced on the Jan. 31 UFL transactions list.

The addition of Flacco and Lumor puts four former Towson players in the UFL.  Each Tye Smith and Darius Victor are set to play for the Memphis Showboats: Victor was taken in the UFL Super Dispersal Draft while Smith was selected in the UFL Draft.

In two years with Towson from 2018-19, Flacco was a two-time finalist for the Walter Payton Award for top offensive player in FCS, finishing his Tiger career with 6,082 passing yards and 50 passing touchdowns, averaging 297.8 yards of total offense per game.  Flacco was on the Ottawa Redblacks practice squad in the Canadian Football League from 2021-22.

Lumor played in eight games for Towson in 2021 after transferring in from Rutgers.  In his collegiate career, he played 50 games, finishing with 116 tackles and 11 sacks.  Lumor returns to the Battlehawks after playing nine games with St. Louis in 2023.

The UFL will play its first season in 2024 after merging the XFL and the United States Football League (USFL).  The Brahmas played in the XFL in 2023 while the Battlehawks were in the XFL in 2020 and 2023.

The 2024 UFL season will begin on March 30.
