TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team welcomed the Hofstra Pride on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers (13-9, 5-6 CAA) fell to the Pride (8-13, 2-8 CAA) 58-44.
Kayla Morris led the Tigers with a season-high 14 points, ten rebounds and a career-high eight blocks.
Alexia Nelson added 11 points and six rebounds.

- Hofstra held the Tigers to 27.2% (18-65) from the floor.
- Towson went 0-of-14 from behind the arc.
- The Pride won the rebounding battle 49-42.
How It Happened vs Hofstra:
- The Tigers got off to a fast start with a 12-3 run led by Kayla Morris's six points.
- The Pride responded with an 11-0 run to lead 14-12 after the first quarter.
- Towson cut the deficit to one early in the second quarter after two Taiye Johnson free throws.
- The teams then traded baskets back-and-forth for seven minutes, until two late layups from Alexia Nelson and Quinzia Fulmore gave the Tigers a 29-28 lead going into halftime.
- The teams continued to battle back-and-forth to start the third quarter, exchanging the lead five times, before Hofstra closed the quarter on a 10-1 run to take a 44-34 lead.
- Towson responded with a 10-2 run to trail by two with 6:27 left.
- The Pride held Towson scoreless for the final six minutes as Hofstra went on a 12-0 run to seal a 58-44 win.
Inside the Numbers vs Stony Brook:
- Kayla Morris earned her first double-double this season with 14 points and ten rebounds.
- Quinzia Fulmore grabbed nine rebounds, the most since she had ten against American on December 10th.
