TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team hosted the Drexel Dragons on Friday night. The Tigers (14-9, 6-6 CAA) defeated the Dragons (10-12, 5-6 CAA) 51-48 in overtime on Play4Kay night.
Kylie Kornegay-Lucas paced the Tigers with 17 points, 14 rebounds, a season-high five blocks and four steals to finish with her fourth double-double of the season.
Alexia Nelson added 14 points.

- The teams traded baskets, until Towson closed out the first quarter with a 9-2 run to lead 17-9.
- An early layup by Nelson gave the Tigers a ten-point lead, their largest of the night.
- The Dragons countered with a 11-4 run to trail by three heading into halftime.
- Two early free throws by Patricia Anumgba grew the advantage to five, but Drexel responded with a 10-0 run to lead 30-25 midway through the third.
- Towson finished the third quarter on a 9-1 run capped off by a Kornegay-Lucas triple to lead 34-31 heading into the fourth quarter.
- The fourth quarter started with a 12-0 run by the Dragons to lead by nine, their largest of the game.
- The Tigers regained the lead with 45 seconds left after a 12-2 run capped off by two Nelson free throws.
- On the next possession, Drexel was fouled and made one of two free throws from the line to tie the score at 46.
- Towson had a chance to win, but a Kornegay-Lucas jumper bounced off the rim as the game went to overtime.
- In overtime, the teams played stellar defense holding each other to empty possessions for over two minutes, until Nelson's free throw gave Towson a one-point lead.
- The teams exchanged two free throws, but Anumgba sealed a 51-48 win for Towson with two late free throws.
