The Tigers are heading out west for a dual meet at #10 University of Denver on February 4 at 3:25 p.m. ET (1:45 p.m. MT).
 
Showdown At Showcase
Towson attended a quad meet against George Washington, University of Pennsylvania and William & Mary on Friday, February 2 at the Showcase Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
 
The Tigers fell to the Revolutionaries and Quakers, posting a final score of 194.225 for third place. 
 
Towson's highest score of the night was on vault as the team posted a 48.850 led by 9.825's from Elise Tisler and Felicia Poblete.
 
Isabella Minervini and Brissa Portillo picked up individual wins on bars and beam, respectively. Minervini posted her second consecutive 9.925 of the season, placing first as the only gymnast in the field to score in the 9.9's on the event.
 
Portillo competed in the official beam lineup for the first time in her collegiate career, receiving a career high 9.800 for a first-place finish.
 
Camille Vitoff earned a new career high on bars, posting a 9.875 to tie for second place. Her previous best of 9.850 was set two years ago.
 
On floor Carmella Calafati matched her career high 9.875 which is also the sophomore's highest score this season. She posted Towson's highest score in the event, tying for second overall.
 
Scouting The Pioneers
Denver has had a challenging schedule this season, competing against several schools ranked in the top-25 including #1 Oklahoma at two consecutive meets.
 
The Pioneers posted their highest team score of 197.175 at a quad meet with Oklahoma, UCLA and Stanford on January 21. The team broke 197 for the second time this season at its most recent meet on January 26, falling to Oklahoma 197.150 - 197.775.
 
Denver's strongest and most consistent event this season has been bars, logging scores of 49.325 and above at all four meets. The Pioneers highest score so far has come from floor, where they posted a 49.475 at their last meet.
 
Jessica Hutchinson is a key gymnast for the team as she holds the team's top scores of 9.950 on beam, floor and vault as well as the second best bars score of 9.925. Nationally she ranks eighth on all-around, seventh on beam and 13th on vault and floor. The senior has been named Big 12 Gymnast of the Week four times this season.
