STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Towson University women's basketball team faced off against the Stony Brook Seawolves in a Friday night matchup. The Tigers (13-8, 5-5 CAA) defeated the Seawolves (18-3, 8-2 CAA) 83-78 in overtime. 

Kylie Kornegay-Lucas finished with a season-high 25 points and four rebounds, while Patricia Anumgba totaled 22 points, five rebounds and four assists..

• Towson went 9-of-20 (45%) from behind the arc for the second time this season.
• The Tigers had the edge in the rebounding battle, 42-40.
• Towson finished 16-of-18 (88.9%) from the free throw line, including 8-8 (100%) in overtime.

How It Happened vs Stony Brook:

• The teams traded early baskets with Towson having an 8-5 lead after two Kayla Morris three-pointers.
• Stony Brook took a one-point lead after two midrange jumpers, but the Tigers responded with a 5-0 run led by Kylie Kornegay-Lucas to take a 13-9 advantage. 
• The Seawolves countered with their own 5-0 run, but two late throws gave Towson a 15-14 edge going into the second quarter.
• The Tigers grew the lead to three before Stony Brook went on a 7-0 run to lead 23-19.
• The teams battled back-and-forth, before Towson went on an 8-4 run that was capped off by a buzzer beater from Patricia Anumgba to have a 34-33 lead going into halftime.
• Anumgba started the third quarter with a three-pointer to extend the lead to four, but another 5-0 run by the Seawolves gave them a one-point advantage. 
• India Johnston drained two back-to-back triples to restore a three-point lead midway through the third.
• The teams continued to trade baskets, then the Tigers closed out the third with an Anasia Staton three-pointer to take 53-48 advantage into the fourth quarter.
• Towson maintained a consistent lead early in the fourth, until an 8-2 run gave the Seawolves a 60-58 edge with six minutes remaining.
• The Tigers gained the lead back after Anumgba drained a stepback three from the right wing.
• Khari Clark made a three from atop the key, but Anumgba and Alexia Nelson each hit a mid-range jumper to give Towson a 67-65 lead with 2:03 left.
• Stony Brook regained the lead after back-to-back layups, but Kornegay-Lucas tied the score at 71 after a driving layup.
• Clark nailed a turnaround jumper, but Kornegay-Lucas responded with another driving layup to send the game into overtime.
• The Seawolves made the first basket in overtime, but the Tigers responded with an 8-0 run led by Kornegay-Lucas's six points.
• A 4-0 run by Stony Brook cut the deficit to three, but Anumgba iced the game with four free throws to win 83-78.
