TOWSON, Md. – Towson University baseball fifth-year senior pitcher Nate Nabholz has been named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Pitcher of the Week following a career performance in Sunday's win, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
 
Nabholz tossed 7.0 scoreless frames while surrendering five hits in the Tigers' 3-1 triumph over Yale on Sunday. The right-hander matched his career high with eight strikeouts and didn't issue a walk to pick up his first win of the year and Towson's first series victory of the season.
 
This is the first time Nabholz has earned CAA Pitcher of the Week honors, and the first time a Tiger pitcher received the award since Josh Seils did on March 23, 2021.
 
The award marks the first weekly award of the 2024 season for Towson.
 
The Tigers return to action tomorrow to face UMBC at 3 p.m. at John B. Schuerholz Park.
