TOWSON, Md. – Nick DeMaio has earned his third league weekly award of the year, being named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Co-Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.
Towson has had a CAA weekly award honoree each of the last three weeks, including
Chop Gallagher being a CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week on April 8. DeMaio is one of three Tigers to earn at least one CAA Offensive Player of the Week honor along with Gallagher and
Josh Webber.
For DeMaio, he was a CAA Offensive Player of the Week on Feb. 19 and March 4.
The San Diego, California native helped Towson wins its fifth consecutive game on Saturday with a 25-2 victory at Hampton. The win secured Towson's hosting rights for the 2024 CAA Tournament.
DeMaio earned his fourth game of the season with at least seven points, tallying five goals and two assists having played just the first half. His five-goal performance is a season-high and ties the most goals in a single game for a Towson player this year.
