Towson Men’s Lacrosse Adds Student-Athletes for 2027 Season

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's lacrosse team has signed several student-athletes from the high school class of 2026 to join the Tigers next academic year.
 
These players will all be freshmen for the team in the 2026-27 academic year.  Each player signed national letters of intent (NLI) for the signing period beginning Nov. 12.  The class covers much of the Mid-Atlantic plus adds players from Washington State and Canada.
 
The Tigers earned a second straight undefeated Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) regular season and CAA Tournament title in 2025, taking a DI program record 10-game winning streak into the NCAA Tournament.  Towson finished 11-6 overall and 7-0 in CAA play, falling in the NCAA First Round.
 
Eddie Chi – Attack – Potomac, Md./St. John's College (H.S.)
Montgomery County native Chi comes to Towson after competing for St. John's in the WCAC.  He has helped the Cadets win double digit games the last three seasons, combining for 38 victories and a 2025 league regular season title.  He played club for Next Level Blue.
 
Dylan Cruz – Midfield – Frederick, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel
Also from the WCAC comes Cruz, who plays for Good Counsel.  A 2025 MSLCA All-State Private/Independent School Honorable Mention, Cruz was named a Player to Watch by Inside Lacrosse from the 2025 NILLY Tournament.  He plays club for DC Express.
 
Logan DeWaters – Defense – Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee H.S.
DeWaters joins Towson from central New York.  A lacrosse and hockey standout, DeWaters earned 2025 NYSSWA All-Star Class A Second Team, Syracuse.com All-Central New York Team and All-SCAC All-Star on defense after leading West Genesee to the Class A title game.  DeWaters competed with True Upstate Black in club play.
 
Braden Fingar – Midfield – Penn Yan, N.Y./Penn Yan H.S.
From the Finger Lakes region of New York comes Fingar.  Fingar led Penn Yan to the 2025 New York State Class D championship with two goals in the title game.  He earned 2025 NYSSAA All-State First Team and All-Star Class D First Team as midfielder with 65 goals and 82 ground balls.
 
Myles Johnson – SSDM – Sammamish, Wash./Eastlake H.S.
From the West Coast comes Johnson, from Washington State.  A lacrosse and football player at Eastlake, Johnson plays defensive midfield, earning 2025 All-King County First Team with 64 ground balls, 18 caused turnovers and five goals, his second all-league honor.  He competed in the 2024 New Balance All-America Tournament for the West Division.
 
Michael Mayerhofer – Midfield – Rockville Centre, N.Y./Chaminade H.S.
Long Island native Mayerhofer is a three-star recruit by Inside Lacrosse.  A midfielder for Chaminade High, he competed in the 2024 New Balance All-America Tournament for the Burn Division.  He also has competed in club for Team 91 and the Shore2Shore Raiders.
 
Justin Novak – LSM/Defense – Randolph, N.J./Randolph H.S.
Novak comes to Towson after being a lacrosse and football standout at Randolph High in New Jersey.  A competitor in the 2024 and 2025 All-America Lacrosse Tournament for the Highlight Division, he led Randolph to 12 victories in 2024.
 
Brody Richert – Midfield – Mattituck, N.Y./Saint Anthony H.S.
Richert is slated as a three-star recruit by Inside Lacrosse from Saint Anthony's High on Long Island.  A lacrosse and football player, he led the Friars to the 2025 NSCHSAA Class AAA title in lacrosse.  He competes with Team LI Express in club play.
 
Colton Sirois – Attack – Leesburg, Va./St. Paul IV Catholic H.S.
Sirois also competed in the WCAC in lacrosse and basketball for St. Paul IV Catholic High.  He led the Panthers lacrosse team to 11 victories in 2025, earning WCAC Honorable Mention All-Conference.  He also played for VLC Lacrosse Club.
 
Jack Tanton – LSM/Defense – Forest Hill, Md./Calvert Hall College (H.S.)
Jack will be joining his brother Mikey from Calvert Hall College.  A four-star recruit and top-13 LSM in the Class of 2026 by Inside Lacrosse, he led Calvert Hall to the 2025 MIAA title and a 16-2 record.  He also played ice hockey for the Cardinals.
 
Mikey Tanton – Midfield – Forest Hill, Md./Calvert Hall College (H.S.)
Mikey will be with his brother Jack from Calvert Hall College, helping lead the Cardinals to the 2025 MIAA championship and 16 victories.  He also was an ice hockey standout, selected as 2023-24 All-MIAA Conference in that sport.
 
Kaleb Tatarek – Attack – Cobourg, Ontario, Canada/St. Mary Catholic Secondary School
From the USA's northern neighbor comes Tatarek, a member of the Canada U19 East National Development Team.  He was the runner-up for the 2205 Joe Nieuwendyk Award for Rookie of the Year in the Ontario Junior Lacrosse league.  He played club lacrosse for the Green Gaels, Evolve Elite and Toronto Beaches.
