TOWSON, Md. – A five-point day in a game which clinched the league regular season title for Towson University earns
Joaquin Villagomez Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Offensive Player of the Week recognition, announced by the conference on Monday.
Villagomez is the fourth different Towson player to earn a CAA Offensive Player of the Week honor this season along with
Nick DeMaio,
Chop Gallagher and
Josh Webber.
This is Villagomez's first CAA Offensive Player of the Week award. He was a two-time CAA Rookie of the Week last season.
The sophomore attack from Severna Park, Maryland led all players in points with five on Friday as Towson secured an undefeated season in CAA play with an 11-10 win at No. 18 Delaware. Villagomez notched three goals and two assists, having a hand in five of Towson's 11 goals, adding two ground balls.
