TJ Bearor and
Sean Colson will compete in the 2024 Atlanta Classic, a long-course meter (LCM) format competition that allows participants to qualify for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in June.
Competition begins today with the 1500-meter freestyle. Three of the four competing Tigers will swim in their first event tomorrow. Colson will compete in his first event on Friday.
Benzing is seeded fifth overall in the 100-meter breaststroke with a qualifying time of 1:01.10. In the 200-meter freestyle, Benzing is seeded 64
th overall with a time of 1:55.50.
Schwar's time of 51.88 in the 100-meter freestyle puts him as the 67
th seed in the event. He is the 35
th seed in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 23.39.
Bearor is seeded 99
th overall in the 100 free with a qualifying mark of 53.70. He will enter the 50 free as the 54
th seed with a time of 23.90.
Colson is seeded 46
th in the 200-meter backstroke with a seed time of 1:42.85 (200-yard). He is seeded 48
th overall in the 100-meter back with a mark of 58.35.
