TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's and women's swimming teams competed in the 2026 College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) National Invitational Championship this week. The Tiger's were on the podium in three events and
Riley Willett broke the school 100 IM record over the three-day meet.
The Towson men's team finished 6
th in the overall men's standings with 371 points while the Tiger women placed 40
th overall in the women's standings.
Day 1: Thursday, March 12
Men
- Isak Brkanovic, Benjamin Eischeid, Jake Wade, and Harry Herrera took 12th in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:20.81.
- Christian Davidson qualified for the A-Final in the 500 free and placed 8th overall with a time of 4:27.67.
- Eischeid was in the B-Final in the 50 fly and swam 21.55 to tie for 12th overall.
- Nathan Decker made the 200 IM B-Final where he finished 16th overall with a time of 1:50.03.
- Harry Herrera qualified for the 50 breast A-Finals and tied for 5th at 24.48.
- Decker, Herrera, Eischeid and Brkanovic placed 13th in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:15.54.

Day 2: Friday, March 13
Women
Men
- Nathan Decker, Harry Herrera, Nicco Gurri and Isak Brkanovic started off day two with a 1:28.32 in the 200 medley relay for a 12th place finish.
- Davidson made his second A-Finals in as many days this time in the 400 IM where he finished 9th overall at 4:00.70. Linus Ament qualified for the B-Finals and took 18th overall with a time of 4:06.06.
- Ben Eischeid earned the first podium finish of the meet for the Tiger's as he finished 3rd in the A-Finals of the 100 fly at 46.75.
- Decker made the B-Finals of the 200 free where he placed 19th overall with a tim e of 1:41.34.
- Herrera just missed the 100 breast podium after placing 4th in the A-Finals where he swam 53.15.
- Davidson, Geoffrey Cradock, Jake Wade and Linus Ament posted a time of 6:42.24 to place 19th in the 800 free relay.
Day 3: Saturday, March 14
Women
- Kaitlyn Besner placed 36th in the 1000 free and 1650 free with times of 10:24.54 and 17:18.79 respectively.
- Riley Willett broke the Towson record in the 100 IM with a time of 56.65 which also was good for a 14th overall placement in the B-Final.
- Gudmundsdottir placed 27th in the 100 free prelims with a time of 50.88.
- Megan Unruh swam 2:03.90 in the 200 fly prelims to place 29th overall.
- Emelia Erikson, Gudmundsdottir, Summer Bontrager and Wahl finished 27th in the 400 free relay at 3:25.56.
Men
- Davidson became the second Tiger on the podium as he placed 2nd in the 1000 free and 1650 free at 9:12.20 and 15:13.80.
- Harry Herrera made the B-Final in the 100 IM and finished 19th at 50.28.
- Isak Brkanovic qualified for the 100 free B-Final and swam 44.56 to place 16th overall.
- Herrera was the top qualifier in the 200 breast and went on to place 4th in the A-Final with a time of 1:56.93.
- Nicco Gurri and Ben Eischeid were in the 200 fly B-Final and swam 1:47.90 and 1:48.56 respectively to place 12th and 14th overall.
- Eischeid, Brkanovic, Cradock, and Decker swam 2:59.35 in the 400 free relay to place 15th.
