TOWSON, Md. – Heading into the NCAA Tournament, the Towson University men's lacrosse team has gone up to its highest rankings of the year, going to No. 12 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Coaches Poll.
Towson rose up three spots in the coaches poll with the regular season concludes. The Tigers are holding at No. 15 in the
Inside Lacrosse Media Poll, marking Towson being nationally ranked for the past six weeks.
The Tigers earned the 2024 CAA Tournament title with a 15-6 victory over Delaware on Saturday. Towson has won nine straight games, the program's longest winning streak in DI history and longest since 1971.
The Black & Gold is 13-3 overall, being tied with Jacksonville and Sacred Heart for the most victories in DI heading into the postseason.
Towson will take on Syracuse on Sunday, May 12 at 7:30 p.m. in New York for the NCAA First Round. Syracuse stands at No. 4 in each poll.
