Field Hockey' Hosts St. Francis, Wagner This Weekend

TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University field hockey team is hosting Saint Francis at the TU Field Hockey Complex Friday, Sept. 6 at 3:00 p.m. On Sunday, Sept. 8 the Tigers take on the Wagner Seahawks at noon.
Both games will be streamed on FloLive. Live stats will be available on TowsonTigers.com.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
  • Saint Francis has a 1-1 record to start the season, the win being in double overtime at Ball State. Towson is aiming to snap a five-game losing streak vs Saint Francis which has occurred after the Tigers won the previous four meetings between the two teams.
  • Wagner currently has an 0-2 record; the Tigers are looking for their first ever win against Wagner who have won all three of the meetings between the two teams.
      YOUTH MOVEMENT NUMBER TO NOTE
  • In the third quarter against Appalachian State, goalie Tessa Scheenstra recorded eight saves, a career high for saves in a single quarter. Her previous best was six which she recorded on October 6, 2023, against Monmouth.
DEJA VU
  • Towson and Wagner both feature four players apiece who hail from the Netherlands, and each have one player from South Africa.
