TOWSON, Md. – The honors keep rolling in for
Mikey Weisshaar as the junior has been named as USA Lacrosse's Preseason Midfielder of the Year, announced by the publication on Friday.
Weisshaar is one of six players honored with USA Lacrosse preseason major awards across the country. Earlier this week, he was named a USA Lacrosse Preseason First Team All-American.
From Arnold, Maryland, Weisshaar racked up several awards last year, including All-America recognition from USA Lacrosse,
Inside Lacrosse and the USILA. He started all 17 games in the first midfield, being Towson's leader in goals with 42, adding 19 assists. He notched multiple goals in 12 games, including hat tricks in the final two games vs. Delaware and at Syracuse.
