TOWSON, Md. – A seven-point day in a key league victory earns
Alex Roussel Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Co-Offensive Player of the Week recognition, announced by the league on Monday.
This is Roussel's second league Offensive Player of the Week award, also being selected on March 9. In total, Towson has won this weekly award five times this season, including twice by
Joaquin Villagomez and once by
Mikey Weisshaar.
The senior from Toronto, Canada helped the Tigers defeat Drexel 14-10 to secure Towson's sole possession of first place in the league at 2-0. Towson is riding a four-game winning streak.
Roussel tied a career-high five goals, adding two assists, five ground balls and a caused turnover in the victory. He had a hand in half of Towson's goals in the game.
On the year, Roussel is shooting 53.3% for 24 goals and nine assists.
