Towson stands in first place in the CAA at 2-0 and 6-3 overall after defeating Drexel 14-10 last Saturday to win its fourth consecutive game. Monmouth has won its last two games, coming off a 20-10 victory vs. Hampton, to be 5-4 overall and 2-1 in the CAA, currently being tied for second place in the conference.
Towson has been in the top-20 of the polls the last four weeks, being at #17 in each the USILA Coaches Poll and in the
Inside Lacrosse Media poll. Monmouth is not ranked in either poll.
Since Monmouth joined the CAA starting in the 2023 season, Towson is 3-0 against Hawks, winning 12-10 in West Long Branch, New Jersey last time out on April 5, 2025.
Towson will honor 10 players and one manager for Senior Day in a pregame ceremony on the field.

TOWSON - BACK-TO-BACK CAA CHAMPIONS
Towson enters 2026 as the two-time reigning CAA champion, including two undefeated regular seasons and wins in the CAA Tournament, leading to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances.
Towson has won 10 CAA championships, all coming since 2003. Its back-to-back titles are the first for Towson since winning three straight from 2015-17.
Towson's 10 conference tournament titles, since the establishment of men's lacrosse as a sport in the CAA, are the most in the league. Second is Delaware, which won five before leaving the league in 2025.
20 STRAIGHT CAA REGULAR SEASON WINS
Towson has been dominant in league play, winning the last 20 regular season CAA games dating back to the 2023 season. This includes 7-0 undefeated CAA regular season records in each 2024 and 2025. It is the longest consecutive conference win streak in program history and the longest currently in Division I.

TOWSON - RANKED IN NATIONAL POLLS
Towson has been in the national rankings the last four weeks, standing #17 in the USILA Coaches Poll and #17 in the
Inside Lacrosse Media Poll after entering the season ranked #15 and #16 in each poll respectively. Towson has finished the past two seasons ranked nationally in the top-15. Towson is also the lone top-20 ranked team in the CAA.
The Tigers defeated then-#17 Virginia on March 7. Other Towson opponents either ranked or receiving votes in the polls include Loyola, Navy and Saint Joseph's.

Mikey Weisshaar was selected as a 2026 Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List member and an
Inside Lacrosse and
USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American Second Team. The reigning CAA Offensive Player of the Year was the CAA leader in goals and points per game, earning 48 goals and 24 assists for 72 points, averaging 4.5 points per game.
On March 28, Weisshaar became the third Tiger ever to surpass the career 200-points mark at Towson.
ROUSSEL - USA LACROSSE MAGAZINE DI MEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Alex Roussel's historic day in the win at Virginia on March 9 earned him USA Lacrosse Magazine DI Player of the Week. The senior attack had a hand in nine of Towson's 13 scores, earning career-highs of nine points, five goals and four assists in the road victory.
WEISSHAAR APPROACHING TOWSON RECORDS
Mikey Weisshaar is in position to place himself high in the Towson record books. He currently stands second in Towson history with 135 goals and third with 202 points. With 202 points in 55 career games played, he is averaging 3.67 points per game.
He currently stands with two of the top-eight single season records in goals in Towson history plus his 72 points in 2025 was seventh in Towson single season history.

A seven-point day in a key league victory earned
Alex Roussel (CAA) Co-Offensive Player of the Week recognition. Roussel tied a career-high five goals, adding two assists, five ground balls and a caused turnover in the victory. He had a hand in half of Towson's goals in the game.

SCOUTING MONMOUTH:
Head coach Brian Fisher, in year 13 at the helm, is the only head coach in Monmouth's history with the program starting in 2013.
Monmouth, which has the third-highest scoring average in the CAA at 11.78 goals per game, is led by senior attack Ty Caffarelli, the league's leading goal-scorer with 30, adding six assists. Classmate attack Connor Gorman has 16 goals and five assists.
The Hawks lead the CAA in fewest goals allowed with 82, allowing 9.1 per game. Junior goalkeeper and Baltimore native Dylan Cadigan leads the league with a 55.8% save rate and 8.50 goals allowed average. Senior defenseman Miles Edmiston has 12 ground balls and seven caused turnovers.
Four different Hawks have taken multiple faceoffs as Monmouth wins 62.7% as a team. Sophomore Landon Parker is the primary with a 67.5% win rate, having 45 ground balls.

NADELEN NAMED HEAD COACH OF U20 MEN'S NATIONAL TEAM
Towson head coach
Shawn Nadelen was selected as the head coach of the United States Men's U20 National Team. Nadelen coached the U.S. U20 Team to a silver medal finish in 2025 World Lacrosse Men's U20 Championship in South Korea this past summer. Towson assistant coach
Andy Shilling also served in the same role for the U.S. U20 Team.
Nadelen is the second Towson men's lacrosse head coach to lead one of the U.S. National Teams. Tony Seaman, Towson head coach from 1999 to 2011, was the head coach of the U.S. Men's Senior National Team for the 1994 World Lacrosse Championship.

Mikey Weisshaar, the reigning CAA Offensive Player of the Year, is the CAA Preseason Player of the Year for the second straight season. He made the 2026 Preseason All-CAA Team along with
Elijah Smith, who earns his first-ever preseason all-league honor.
TOWSON PREDICTED TO FINISH FIRST IN CAA IN 2026
In the preseason coaches poll, reigning CAA Tournament champion Towson has been predicted to finish first in the CAA in 2026. Towson was a unanimous first-place selection (coaches could not vote for their own team) with six first-place votes.
