WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Towson University women's basketball team faced William & Mary in the second game of a two-game road stand on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers (4-14, 2-5 CAA) made a second half push to cut into the Tribe (8-10, 5-2 CAA) lead, but the Tribe ultimately prevailed 58-47 at Kaplan Arena.
Khady Leye led the team with 18 points, adding five rebounds.
Anasia Staton finished in double digits for the fifth time in eight games this season.

- Staton hit the Tigers' first two buckets of the second quarter, with the second making it a 26-13 game with 6:46 left in the half.
- Leye hit a pair of twos in the final minutes of the half to make it a 34-19 game at the break.
- The Tigers got to the free throw line early and often in the third quarter, hit all eight free throws on four trips to the line.
- Leye also had a pair of layups alongside a Staton jumper to cut the deficit to 44-33 at the end of the third quarter.
- Towson started the final period on a 7-2 run over the first 2:12 to cut the Tribe lead to six.
- Leye's layup with 1:51 remaining ended an 8-7 stretch in favor of the Tribe.
- William & Mary hit four free throws on two trips to the line over the final minutes to win 58-47 at Kaplan Arena.
