GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Towson University cross country team wrapped up its final regular season meet on Saturday at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational hosted by Gettysburg College. The Black & Gold placed fifth out of 33 teams after accumulating 126 points.
Towson's top five runners ran an average time of 22:50 and crossed the finish line within 58 seconds of each other.
Sophomore Rebekka Hillier continued her standout season as Towson's top performer in every regular season meet. Hillier placed 14th overall out of 300 runners with a time of 22:16.6, improving last year's mark of 23:03.9 on the same course.
Anna Amato followed close behind, finishing 17th in 22:19.8 to mark a new PR in the 6k for the freshman.
Baara Stewart took 32nd with a time of 23:07.6, while Mari Collick placed 37th in 23:14.3 - a personal best after running 23:54.6 last year.
Rounding out Towson's top five, Camille Swirsding crossed in 23:15.4 for a 38th-place finish and a new personal best. Jaayah Jenkins (26:23.3), Addison Mau (23:51.8) and Jillian O'Neill (25:09.9) additionally turned in personal best times in the 6k.
