Towson earned the most points in game since Nov. 17, 2012, a 64-35 victory at New Hampshire.

Key Stats:
  • Towson earned 527 yards of total offense, including 382 in the air, holding N.C. A&T to 259 total yards of offense.  Towson averaged 9.2 yards per play, holding the Aggies to 3.8 yards per play.
  • The defense held N.C. A&T to two scores, forced two interceptions and had two sacks.

  • On the ground, Kemarrion Battles rushed five times for 47 yards and a touchdown.  Al Wooten II had two rushes for 29 yards and a score, also having three catches for 24 yards and a touchdown.
  • Branson Peters had for the team lead in tackles with six, also having a sack.  Myles Brodie and Ben Kumpon each had three tackles and an interception, with the former adding a forced fumble.

How it Happened
  • Towson won the toss and deferred.  A couple of outlet passes for N.C. A&T got the home team into Towson territory early.  Towson held on third and 35, chasing the quarterback out of the pocket and forcing a long incomplete pass.  Andrew Brown hit a school record 56-yard field goal to put N.C. A&T on the board first 3-0 with 9:16 to go in the first quarter.
  • Towson took to the air early and often on its first drive, beginning with Andrew Indorf throwing downfield for a 55-yard completion to John Dunmore on the first play to reach the red zone.  Later at the nine, Indorf escaped a potential sack twice and dropped off a pass to Al Wooten II for the touchdown, putting Towson up 7-3 with 6:48 to go in the first.
  • N.C. A&T was backed up deep in its territory and attempted to punt after five plays.  Matthieu Longa blocked the punt rushing in from the left side, recovered by Xzavion Crumb in the end zone for the touchdown, pushing Towson up 14-3 with 3:44 left in the first.
  • Towson forced a three-and-out and got the ball back following the punt on Towson 39.  A couple of penalties hurt Towson's potential drive as the Tigers punted.  Bryce LaFollette punted the ball perfectly as Cody Williams downed the ball at the one-yard line.
  • Into the second quarter, Towson's defense contained A&T for the three-and-out.  Starting the next drive on the A&T 41, Indorf arced a pass to Sam Reynolds for a 38-yard gain.  Two plays later, Kahseim Phillips barreled into the end zone for the touchdown as Towson led 21-3 2:09 into the second quarter.
  • A&T got close to crossing midfield, then Longa's pressure on the quarterback forced a low throw, being picked off by Ben Kumpon and returned to the A&T 39.  Two plays later, Wooten II scored again on a 27-yard burst run down the left side to make it 28-3 Towson, 10:49 to go in the first half.
  • Another Towson interception, this one by Myles Brodie, gave Towson another big start past midfield.  On third and one, Winston Watkins came in, faked a run and threw long to Cleveland Charlton for the 38-yard touchdown.  Towson led 35-3 with 7:06 left in the first half.
  • Towson was not done in the first half, with two penalties stopping the Aggie drive and forcing a punt.  At second and 10 from the Towson 35, Jaceon Doss caught the ball at the Towson 41, broke multiple tackles along the sideline and raced to the end zone for the 65-yard touchdown.  With Towson's defense forcing a turnover on downs the next drive, the Tigers went into the locker room leading 42-3.
  • Into the second half, Indorf kept throwing passes down the middle and to the right, finding Kemarrion Battles for 16 yards and Doss for another 24.  Set up on the 28, Caden Williams knocked down the 38-yard field goal attempt to push Towson advantage to 45-3, 4:40 into the third quarter.
  • Though A&T got a first down, Branson Peters forced an intentional grounding for a sack, dooming the drive for A&T and sending off a punt.  The two sides exchanged three-and-outs.
  • Starting around midfield, a short pass to Zay Perkins got a first down but the drive stopped from there.  Williams hit another field goal, this from 49 yards, to give Towson a 48-3 lead with 2:37 to play in the third.
  • Another A&T three-and-out, and Nathan Kent took over at quarterback for Towson into the fourth quarter.  Coming down the field with a couple of Kent passes, Kemarrion Battles burst off the left side for 31 yards and the end zone as Towson led 55-3 with 12:58 left.
  • A&T scored its first touchdown on the next drive as quarterback Nelson Layne broke away for 60 yards.  The extra point was missed as Towson led 55-9 with 11:31 to play.
  • Towson sacked Layne on third down to force a three-and-out as the Tigers looked to run clock.  Sean Brown and Watkins led the Tigers down field, as Trey Engram finished the drive with a five-yard rush for the score.  Towson led 62-9 in the final minutes, holding that score for the win.
