COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team faced the 9
th-ranked Maryland Terrapins on Thursday night at the Xfinity Center.
Maryland (4-0) jumped out to a lead in the first half over Towson (2-2), going up 51-23 at the break. The Tigers had a strong showing in the second half, outscoring the Terps, 47-37, on 54.8% second-half shooting. The Terps won by a score of 88-70.

- Thalia Shepard and Zoli Khalil hit back-to-back shots for the Tigers, cutting the deficit to 9-6 just under halfway through the first quarter.
- Tilda Sjökvist (2), Shepard (3) and Johnston (2) all scored for Towson in the back half of the period as Maryland took a 23-13 lead into the quarter break.
- Maryland's Addi Mack and Kaylene Smikle scored 10 points for the Terps through the first 2:43 of the second quarter. Hannah Dereje had a bucket for Towson in the stretch.
- Sjökvist (2), Johnston (2), and Shepard (2) all scored for the Tigers in the rest of the quarter as the Terps went up 51-23 at the halftime break.
