NEWARK, Del. – The Towson University women's basketball team capped a three-game road trip against the Delaware Blue Hens at the Bob Carpenter Center on Sunday afternoon.
Towson (4-4) shot 61.3% from the field in the first half and took a 42-38 lead into the break over Delaware (4-3). The Tigers and Blue Hens traded the lead back and forth through the third, before a 14-point Delaware run in the fourth quarter run allowed UD to pull ahead for a 91-80 final.

How it Happened
- Delaware jumped out to a 7-4 lead just over four minutes into the game. Hannah Dereje and Tilda Sjökvist each scored for the Tigers in the opening minutes.
- Towson followed with a 10-4 run over the next three minutes to take a 14-11 lead. India Johnston led the Tigers with five in the run.
- Kayla Morris had six of TU's final seven points of the quarter, giving the Black & Gold a 21-19 lead.
- The Tigers held a three-point lead early in the second quarter and went on an 8-2 run to push the lead to nine at 35-26 with 5:09 left in the half.
- The Blue Hens closed the quarter on a 12-7 run to shrink the deficit to 42-38 at the break.
- Zoli Khalil scored Towson's first six points of the second half. Her made three with 7:38 on the clock made Towson's lead 48-42.
- Vance's jumper with 3:47 on the clock gave Delaware a two-point lead.
- Back-to-back threes from Sjökvist and Khalil gave Towson a four-point lead with 2:56 left in the quarter.
- The Blue Hens finished the quarter on a 9-3 run to take a 61-59 lead into the fourth.
