TOWSON, Md. – Tyler Tejada was named CAA Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. Tejada earned four Rookie of the Week honors during his freshman season.

This award adds to a long list of accolades for Tejada which include 2024-25 CAA Player of the Year, 2025-26 CAA Preseason Player of the Year, 2023-24 CAA Rookie of the Year, 2023-24 CAA All-Rookie Team, four CAA Rookie of the Week awards, 2024-25 All-ECAC First Team, 20245-25 NABC All-East District Second Team, 2024-25 Lou Henson Award Finalist, 2024-25 All-CAA First Team, unanimous 2025-26 Preseason All-CAA First Team and 2025-26 FieldOf68 Mid-Major All-American.

Tejada led the Tigers to second place in the Terry's Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational with top-100 KenPom wins over Rhode Island and Liberty. The reigning CAA Player of the Year averaged 21.0 points on 51.1% shooting from the floor, including an impressive 63.6% from inside the arc. The Teaneck, N.J., native drained all 15 attempts from the free-throw line and pulled down 5.3 rebounds per game. The junior wing opened the tournament with a 16-point effort to knock off Rhode Island. The following day, Tejada was vital in the Tigers' 72-69, unloading 20 points, nine boards and a career-high three blocks, including one on the final possession to seal the victory. He closed out the weekend with a season-high 27 points on 10-of-19 shooting against UC San Diego.

The Tigers return to SECU Arena on Wednesday against Cornell at 7 p.m. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will get a Gold Replica Basketball Jersey.
