TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University gymnastics team has been predicted to finish second in the 2026 East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Preseason Poll, announced on Monday.
Towson, the 2025 EAGL regular season champion, received a first-place vote and 18 total points in the poll. The preseason poll is voted on by the five head coaches of EAGL teams. Coaches may vote for their own team. George Washington, the 2025 EAGL Championship victor, was predicted to finish first with two first place votes and 22 points. After Towson, the rest of the poll is filled out by New Hampshire (14 points), Temple (13 points) and LIU (8 points).
In 2025, Towson earned 28 victories, including going a perfect 4-0 in EAGL regular season competitions. Head coach
Jay Ramirez returns seven athletes who earned all-EAGL recognition last year, including NCAA all-around individual participant
Isabella Minervini, who also was the EAGL Tournament champion in the all-around,
Ava Harper, the 2025 EAGL Rookie Specialist of the Year, and
Polina Belanovski, a three-time All-EAGL honoree last season.
The Tigers are currently at No. 36 in the College Gym News preseason poll, the only EAGL team receiving votes.
The first meet of the 2026 season is set for Sunday, Jan. 4 at Clemson at 2 p.m.
