HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – The Towson University women's basketball team faced Hofstra in Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) play Friday evening at the David S. Mack Sports & Exhibition Complex. The Tigers (7-16, 5-7 CAA) proved to be resilient, overcoming a nine-point halftime deficit to win 63-51 over the Pride (9-14, 4-8 CAA).
India Johnston led the field with 15 points and 7 assists.
Deja Bristol finished with 10 points and six rebounds, adding two steals and one block.

- Towson's late shooting efficiency was the catalyst of the comeback as they shot 50.0% or better from the field in each of the final three quarters.

- A Kayla Morris three and Johnston jumper put the Tigers out in front 5-0 early before the Pride scored seven straight to take the lead.
- Hofstra closed the quarter on an 8-2 run over the final 3:20 to build a 15-9 lead.
- Anasia Staton scored the first two Tiger buckets of the second quarter, with the second making it a 17-13 game with 7:47 remaining in the half.
- The Pride followed that with ten-straight points, pushing their lead to 14 with 4:05 on the clock.
- The Tigers responded with seven-straight points. Aminata Diakite's layup with 2:18 capped the run to cut the deficit to 27-20.
- Hofstra hit a layup in the closing seconds of the half to extend their lead to nine at 33-24.
- The Pride extended their lead to 12 before an 8-0 Tiger run cut the deficit to four. Semaya Turner scored the first five of the run.
- A 5-3 Tiger advantage over the final minutes of the quarter pulled TU within one-possession heading into the fourth.
- Khady Leye's triple on the first fourth quarter possession gave the lead back to the Tigers at 44-43.
