NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Towson University gymnastics team earned its second consecutive quad meet victory on Sunday afternoon with a team score of 195.400 in the Yale Senior Meet.
 
Towson defeated New Hampshire (194.500), Yale (193.675) and Brown (193.375).  The Tigers were led by a 49.175 on the uneven bars in its third rotation.
 
The Tigers earned individual champions in three of the four events, led by Isabella Minervini with a 9.925 on the bars.  Clara Hong won the balance beam with a 9.850 while Polina Belanovski took the vault title with a 9.850.
 
How it Happened for Towson (in Rotation Order)

• Floor – 48.950
  • Towson started out on the floor and delivered all performances with at least 9.725.  Carmella Calafati began with a 9.775 followed by Isabella DeCroo at 9.750.
  • Clara Hong earned Towson's top mark on the floor at 9.825, being followed up with Isabella Minervini at a 9.725.  The Tigers finished strong with each Polina Belanovski and Adriana Hoffman delivering a 9.800, a career-high for Hoffman on floor.
• Vault – 48.875
  • Adriana Hoffman this time led off and stuck a 9.725 to the vault.  Towson improved over the next three performances with Ava Harper on a 9.775, Isabella DeCroo with a 9.800 and Polina Belanovski notching a 9.850.
  • Reese Toland returned to the vault lineup and finished with a 9.725 to complete Towson's score.
• Bars – 49.175
  • Lauren Keener started off strongly for Towson with a 9.800.  Following Lauren Greene with a 9.775, Clara Hong earned a 9.875, then Polina Belanovski hit a 9.800.
  • Needing to make up for an earlier fall, Isabella Minervini wiped out that score by tying a career-high with a 9.925 to earn Towson's 49.175 score.
• Beam – 48.400
  • Performances 2-5 set the stage for Towson on the beam, with Isabella Minervini getting a 9.650 on the second flight.  Celia Trotter hit a 9.800, then Clara Hong came up with another big performance on a 9.850.  Lauren Keener had a 9.700 as Towson finished with a 48.400.

Inside the Numbers

• Isabella Minervini ties her own career-high on the bars at 9.925, which is sixth all-time in Towson history.  She also earned her fourth top-two finish in the all-around in as many all-around performances, finishing with a 38.925.
• Clara Hong has finished with at least 29.550 points in two of her last three meets.

• Towson returns to TU Arena to compete in a dual meet against Ball State on Friday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m.
