HAMPTON, Va. – The Towson University men's and women's swimming and diving teams finished the first day of the 2025 CAA Championships with the men currently in third place with 91 points while the women are in a tie for fifth at 98 points.
 
How it Happened Men:

• Sam Tennell placed 4^th overall in the Men's 1 meter dive with a dive score of 276.45, Tennell was the only Tiger to qualify for the finals.
• Sean Colson (22.34), Geoffrey Cradock (24.55), Benjamin Eischeid (20.76) and Daniel McLaughlin (19.47) finished 4^th in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:27.42.
• For the third time in the three events today, Towson placed fourth. As Stephen McDonald, Sean Colson, Daniel McLaughlin and Luke Schwar just missed the podium swimming a time of 6:28.01.

 
How it Happened Women:

• The team of Martina Ciriesi (25.28), Tiffany Matulis (28.40), Riley Willett (23.99), and Claire Ryland (22.71) took 5^th in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:40.38.
• Addie Scott, Ryland Zuniga, Summer Bontrager and Bridget Thomas came in 6^th place in the 800 free relay with a time of 7:23.36.

 
 
On Deck:
The CAA Championships continue with day 2 tomorrow. The 500 freestyle, 200 IM, 50 freestyle, Women's 3-meter diving and the 400-yard medley relay will all take place on Thursday.
