TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's basketball team hosted Campbell in Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) play Friday evening at TU Arena. The Camels (17-10, 10-5 CAA) chipped away at the 12-point Tiger (9-18, 7-9) lead in the closing minutes to win, 58-57.
Khady Leye recorded her fifth double-double this season with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Kayla Morris finished with 12 points and seven rebounds.

How it Happened
- Semaya Turner found Deja Bristol for the opening bucket of the game before Campbell hit shots on three-straight possessions to build a 7-2 lead.
- Khady Leye scored the next two Towson baskets, with the second cutting the deficit to 9-6 with 6:31 left in the quarter.
- Down 16-10, the Tigers closed the quarter on a 5-2 run with a made and-one from Turner and a jumper from Leye with 30 seconds on the clock to pull the Tigers within three at 18-15.
- The second quarter started 6-6 through the first 3:36 before both offenses stagnated in the closing minutes of the half. Each team scored three points in the closing minutes of the half to give Campbell a 27-24 lead going into the break.
- The Tigers came out hot in the second half, scoring the first nine points of the quarter over 3:52. Kayla Morris had five and Leye had four in the run, giving the Tigers a six-point lead.
- The Camels ended the quarter on a 12-7 run to cut the Towson lead to one with ten minutes to play.
- Towson started the fourth quarter as they did in the third, going on a 12-0 run over the first 3:13. India Johnston had five, Deja Bristol had two and Kayla Morris had five in the stretch to build a 13-point Tiger cushion.
- Campbell's Boone had their next five points, cutting the Towson lead to ten on a free throw with 5:50 on the clock.
- Turner extended the lead to 12 before the Camels got four from Fuller and five from Felton to cut it to a one-possession game at 56-53
- Anasia Staton hit one of two free throws between five from Tucker on two made baskets to give Campbell a one-point lead with 1:40 left in regulation.
- Towson couldn't connect on opportunities in the closing minutes to fall, 58-57.
