Towson, Md. - The Towson University track & field team wrapped up the final day of the Towson Invitational on Saturday with three gold medals, two silvers, and multiple personal records and season bests.
Aniyah Toppin kicked off the second day of the Towson Invitational with a second-place finish in the long jump with a PR mark of 5.72m, ranking sixth all-time in the event in program history.
Leeann Redlo and
Kiara Murray followed in fifth and sixth place.
Towson's A-Team - Toppin,
Cristal Cuervo,
Nancy Hudson and
Maya Tucker secured gold in the 4x100m relay with a time of 46.30, ranking eighth all-time in program history. The B-Team, featuring
Qiora Rollins,
Giselle Badoo,
Stella Anani and
Princess Asante, claimed third place.
Freshman
Mari Collick clocked 11:48.19 in the 3000m steeplechase, marking the 10th-fastest time in the event in program history.
In the 400m,
Baara Stewart,
Niomi Allison and
Kelis Milburn all set personal records in the event. Stewart and Allison finished in sixth and eighth place, followed by Milburn in eleventh.
Leeann Redlo clocked a PR of 14.08 in the 100m hurdles finals to finish second overall and place fourth all-time in the event.
In the 100m finals, Tucker grabbed gold with a season-best finish of 11.50.
Christal Pommells followed in third with a time of 12.04.
Lexi Mogensen secured a second-place finish in the 5000m run. Freshman
Jennifer Maxwell finished fourth overall.
Milburn, Rollins, Stewart, and Pommells closed out the Towson Invitational on a high note, securing first place in the 4x400m relay with a combined time of 3:50.28.
