BOX SCORE Towson, Md. - The Towson University tennis team hosted Bucknell at the Tiger Tennis Complex on Tuesday, falling in a close 4-3 match.
The Tigers secured the doubles point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3. In singles play,
Tamzin Pountney won at No. 3 in straight sets, while
Aubrey Carper secured another win at No. 6 for Towson in a tiebreaker.
"The team came out and competed hard today by taking the doubles point and getting out to an early lead in some singles matches," said head coach
Jamie Peterson. "However, we didn't play well enough to finish the match. Credit to Bucknell, and we look forward to another chance tomorrow against Loyola."
