TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University baseball team hosted the UNCW Seahawks in the second game of a three-game CAA series on Friday afternoon at John B. Schuerholz Park.
 
UNCW (20-19, 8-6 CAA) scored multiple runs in all five innings they scored in, going on to win 22-0 over Towson (13-26, 5-8 CAA) in seven innings.
 
Key Stats

• Towson starter Max Simpson (2-7) took the loss, allowing five runs, four earned, on five hits and one walk in 2.0 innings pitched. Simpson struck out two.
• UNCW starter Connor Marshburn (3-2) earned the win, tossing 6.0 one-hit, scoreless frames with one walk and seven strikeouts.

 
How it Happened

• Jones' two-run single in the first got the scoring started for the visitors.
• UNCW added three runs on two hits and an error in the second.
• The Seahawks added nine runs on five hits and an error in the fourth, extending their lead to 14.
• Three runs in the fifth and five in the seventh delivered a 22-0 win to UNCW in seven innings.
