Towson, Md. - The Towson University track & field team completed its first day of competition on Friday at both the Morgan State Legacy Meet and the Aggie Classic Meet.
Freshman
MaKayla Pritchett placed third in the hammer throw at the Morgan State Legacy Meet with a mark of 42.34m, while
Tatiyana Black followed in fifth with a throw of 37.54m.
At the Aggie Classic Meet,
Aniyah Toppin set a PR 5.78m in the long jump for a top 10 finish overall. Denee Hibbert secured a season best at 5.54m.
In the 1500m,
Lexi Mogensen and
Baara Stewart secured fourth and fifth overall in the event. Freshman
Mari Collick set a PR of 4:59.26 in the event and finished second in her heat.
Maya Tucker and
Cristal Cuervo finished fourth and sixth overall in the 200m.
Qiora Rollins set a PR of 25.26 in the event.
Spencer Settle ran a season best 1:01.76 in the 400m hurdles to finish third overall.
Niomi Allison set a PR of 1:02.85 to grab seventh overall.
