Track & Field Breaks 4x400m Relay Record at Aggie Classic, Wraps Up Morgan State Legacy Meet

Towson, Md. - The Towson University track & field team wrapped up a split-meet weekend with strong showings at the Aggie Classic in Greensboro, North Carolina, and the Morgan State Legacy Meet in Baltimore, Maryland. The Tigers return home with multiple podium finishes, several personal and season bests, and a new school record in the 4x400m relay.

Morgan State Legacy Meet

In shot put, Beyonka Lee tossed 13.03m for a fourth-place finish. Freshmen Aleah Schwartz (12.19m) and Danielle Foster (11.60m) posted PRs in the same event.

Beyonka Lee additionally secured a PR in the discus throw at 40.26m. 

Kelis Milburn secured a third-place finish in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:04.25. 

Kelis Milburn, Princess Asante, Giselle Badoo and Stella Anani grabbed fourth overall in the 4x100m relay with a time of 47.57. 

In the 200m, Asante finished seventh overall with a PR time of 25.06. 

Aggie Classic Meet
Leeann Redlo secured second overall in the high jump with a 1.69m mark.

Kiara Murray placed eighth overall in the triple jump at 11.95m. Freshman Aniyah Toppin finished in the top 10 in the triple jump with a mark of 11.91m. 

In the 4x100m relay, Nancy Hudson, Maya Tucker, Qiora Rollins and Cristal Cuervo finished fourth overall with a season-best time of 45.41, ranking fourth all-time in the event in program history. 

Baara Stewart matched her PR of 2:12.29 in the 800m, placing third overall. Stewart previously recorded the same time at the Black & Gold Invitational earlier this season, which ranks third all-time in program history. 

In the 400m, Cristal Cuervo recorded a season-best 53.76 to finish second overall in the event. Spencer Settle clocked a PR of 56.08 in the same event and secured eighth all-time in program history.

Maya Tucker clocked 11.41 in the 100m prelims to qualify for the finals with the fourth-fastest time in the event. In the 100m finals, Tucker placed fourth overall with a time of 11.57. 

Freshman Mari Collick competed solo in the 3000m steeplechase, automatically claiming first place in the event. Collick previously made her season debut in the steeplechase at the Towson Invitational, where she earned a spot on the program's top 10 all-time list with a time of 11:48.19. 

In a thrilling finish to the split-meet weekend, Maya Tucker (52.63), Jasmine Scott (57.76), Cristal Cuervo (52.60) and Spencer Settle (54.51) dominated the 4x400m relay with a combined time of 3:37.52. Their performance not only secured first place but also shattered the previous school record by nearly five seconds.
