Brodie, Terry Selected to 2025 CAA Football Preseason All-Conference Team

TOWSON, Md. – Towson University football defensive backs Myles Brodie and Xavier Terry have been placed on the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Preseason All-Conference Team, announced by the league on Wednesday in preparation for the conference's Media Day.
 
In addition, two more Tigers, John Dunmore and Rodney Roane Jr., were chosen as CAA Football Preseason All-Conference Honorable Mention.
 
The league also announced its predicted order of finish.  Towson is predicted to finish sixth in the CAA this season with 108 points.  Defending CAA champion Rhode Island got first in the preseason poll with eight first-place votes and 163 points, followed by Monmouth in second with four first-place votes and 142 points and Villanova at third with two first-place votes and 139 points.  The rest of the poll, in order, is filled out by Stony Brook (125), New Hampshire (119), Towson, William & Mary (104), Elon (98), Maine (71), Campbell (53), Hampton (50), UAlbany (47), Bryant (32) and North Carolina A&T (23).
 
The preseason all-conference teams and the league order of finish are nominated and voted on by the league's head coaches.
 
Brodie was a 2024 All-CAA Third Team defensive back for Towson, having the team lead with two interceptions and nine pass break-ups.  The redshirt senior cornerback added 44 tackles and had a four-game streak with at least one pass break-up, including three break-ups and eight tackles in the win at Monmouth on Oct. 26.
 
Terry has been in the top-two for Towson in tackles in each of the past two seasons, including last year tallying up 82 tackles, five pass break-ups, an interception and two forced fumbles.  The redshirt senior safety had at least four tackles in all 12 games last season, including a career-highs of 11 tackles and three pass break-ups at Richmond on Nov. 2.
 
In his first full year with the team in 2024, Dunmore was Towson's leader in receiving yards with 619 and receiving touchdowns with five.  Also serving as a special teams returner, the redshirt senior wide receiver had at least 35 receiving yards in 10 games last year, setting a career-high with six catches and 123 yards, adding a touchdown, at Richmond on Nov. 2.
 
Roane played all 12 games at linebacker in 2024, finishing second on the team with four sacks and adding 58 tackles and five total tackles for loss.  The senior had at least three tackles in all 12 games last season, having eight tackles in each vs. Morgan State on Sept. 7 and at North Dakota St. on Sept. 21.
