PHILADELPHIA – The Towson University women's basketball team faced Drexel at the Daskalakis Athletic Center in a rare Saturday matchup due to inclement weather in Sunday's forecast.
 
Drexel 11-7, 4-3 CAA) opened the game with the lead and held Towson (11-8, 4-3 CAA) at bay offensively on Saturday night at the Daskalakis Athletic Center. The Dragons won 68-45 on their home court.

• Drexel stretched its lead to 16 at 27-11 with 5:58 remaining in the half before six straight from the Tigers pulled them back within ten.
• Masyn Marchbanks hit the first field goal of her Towson career with 38 seconds left to go in the half, a three, putting the Tigers back within nine at 33-24.
• Amaris Baker hit a layup in the closing seconds to give the Dragons an 11-point halftime lead.
• All nine of the Tigers' points in the third came from India Johnston as Drexel expanded its lead to 58-33 after three quarters.
• Towson started the fourth quarter on a 9-2 run over the first five minutes, shrinking the deficit to 18.
• The Dragons closed the game on an 8-3 run and went on to win 68-45.
