GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Towson University women's basketball team faced North Carolina A&T on Friday evening in Greensboro, N.C.

Zoli Khalil led Towson with 13 points in the first half, giving the Tigers a 32-26 lead over North Carolina A&T (7-12, 2-6 CAA) at the break.
India Johnston, who finished with seven in the first half, posted 12 in the second, leading Towson to a 59-57 win at the Corbett Sports Center.

How it Happened
- After North Carolina A&T opened the game with a 7-2 lead, the Tigers followed with an 11-0 run to claim a 13-7 edge. Zoli Khalil had five in the opening minutes while India Johnston and Thalia Shepard each had four.
- Semaya Turner (1) and Khalil (2) each scored in the closing minutes of the quarter, giving the Tigers a 16-14 lead.
- Towson opened the second quarter on an 8-2 run, led by Khalil with four, to extend the lead to 24-16.
- Hannah Dereje scored the Tigers' next three points. Her free throw with 5:25 left in the half gave Towson a 27-20 lead.
- Johnston and Khalil had three and two, respectively, in the closing minutes of the half. The Tigers took a 32-26 lead into the halftime break.
- Shepard extended the lead to nine in the opening minute of the second half before an 8-0 Aggie run cut it down to one.
- Johnston and Khalil combined for the Tigers' final 10 points of the quarter, giving them a 45-41 lead after three.
- N.C. A&T cut the deficit to three with 4:13 to go before a 6-0 Tiger run pushed it back to nine.
