ELON, N.C. – The Towson University women's basketball team played Elon on Sunday afternoon at the Schar Center.
Elon (10-11, 4-5 CAA) pushed the pace early and secured a 14-point lead after the first quarter. The Phoenix extended its lead over the next two quarters before Towson (12-9, 5-4 CAA) cut it back down to 14 late as Elon went on to win 68-54.

- Masyn Marchbanks hit a layup with 6:32 to go in the half, ending an 8-0 Elon run to begin the second quarter.
- Shariah Baynes scored four points on back-to-back possessions with less than five minutes on the clock, starting a 10-5 Tiger run to close the half.
- Elon took a 35-18 lead into the break.
- Semaya Turner's layup just under three minutes into the second half ended a 7-0 Phoenix run out of the break.
- Elon extended its lead to 27 with under four minutes on the clock in the third before a 10-3 Black & Gold run put the Tigers down 54-34 with ten minutes to play.
