DURHAM, N.H. – The Towson University gymnastics team got third place in the UNH Tri-Meet on Sunday, picking up a team score of 194.925.
Towson fell in the EAGL competition to meet host New Hampshire, which finished at 195.700. The Tigers narrowly fell to Yale, which was at 194.975.
Isabella Minervini won the all-around with a 39.200 score, highlighted by tying for first on bars at 9.875.
Isabella DeCroo and
Faye Rodio tied for first on vault, each earning a 9.800.
How it Happened for Towson (in Rotation Order)
- Bars (rotation one) – 48.325
- Towson got off to a strong start with Piper Slocum returning to the rotation with a 9.750, then Hayden Gough hitting a season-high 9.800.
- Needing to recover on a fall on routine three, Lauren Greene hit her season-high with a 9.800. Another fall on the fifth spot forced a lower score, but Isabella Minervini shined with a 9.875 to finish the rotation.
- Beam (rotation two) – 48.800
- Floor (rotation three) – 49.050
- Following the first routine, Towson earned four 9.8+ scores in the final five routines, beginning with Carmella Calafati hitting a 9.800.
- The final three routines saw the final 9.8+ scores, including Adriana Hoffman scoring a season-high 9.875.
- Vault (rotation four) – 48.775
- In the two spot, Isabella DeCroo hit a 9.800, her top score of the season on vault.
- The Tigers had a good finish, including freshmen Jocelyn Lannon notching a 9.775 and Faye Rodio earning a career-high 9.800.
