Tennell and Parrau Make it Four Diver of the Week Awards in a Row

TOWSON, Md. – Towson University swim & dive athletes Shannon Parrau and Sam Tennell have earned Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) weekly honors for the fourth consecutive week after their performances at the Towson Diving Invite on Saturday. Parrau is the CAA Women's Diver of the Week while Tennell is the CAA Men's Diver of the Week, the CAA announced Tuesday.
 
Sam Tennell adds to his lead over all men's divers in the CAA with his sixth weekly award of the season. Tennell reset his own Towson record in the 1 meter with a score of 342.75 to also win the event. The Senior then set his second PR of the day with a second-place score of 352.45 in the 3 meter dive.
 
Shannon Parrau earns her eighth diver of the week award of the season again adding to her conference lead in weekly awards won. Parrau scored 300.75 to get the win in the 1 meter dive before following that up with a 324.35 in the 3 meter dive to complete her sweep of the boards.
 
Towson is now preparing for the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championships hosted by Hampton from Wednesday, February 25 until Saturday, February 28.
