HAMPTON, Va. – The Towson University women's basketball team faced Hampton on Friday evening at the Convocation Center in Virginia.
 
Towson (14-10, 7-5 CAA), led by Masyn Marchbanks' nine first quarter points, built a 17-point lead over Hampton (9-15, 3-9 CAA) at the halftime break. The Tigers expanded that lead over the final 20 minutes of game time, giving them a 69-44 win.

• Towson opened the game with an 8-0 lead through two minutes, led by Masyn Marchbanks with six on two made threes.
• Marchbanks hit her third triple of the game with 2:26 to go in the first quarter, giving the Tigers a 16-9 lead after one.
• The Tigers started the second quarter on another run, this time a 9-0 run, pushing the lead to 16 points.
• India Johnston led the Tigers in second quarter scoring with nine points.
• Johnston followed with seven points in the third, leading the Tigers once more, to put them up 50-30 with one quarter to play.
• True freshman Jill Watson scored her first collegiate basket on a layup in the final minute of the game as the Tigers went on to win 69-44.

• Masyn Marchbanks scored 14 points, marking her second straight game in double figures. She shot 4-8 from behind the arc.
• India Johnston posted 19 points on 7-17 shooting from the field. The senior hit two threes in the win.
