TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University gymnastics team earned a 195.900 team score to equal its top team score of the season for Friday's Senior Day meet.
Towson's score was just .025 away from earning first behind visiting Maryland at 195.925. Towson earned an East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) regular season win vs. George Washington at 194.700 and won vs. visiting Penn 195.100.
Towson earned the top individual finisher in nearly every event, led by
Polina Belanovski winning the all-around with a 39.225 score. She also tied for first on vault with a 9.850.
Adriana Hoffman took first on floor with a 9.900 while
Isabella Minervini earned first on bars at 9.900.
After the meet, Towson honored its senior class, competing in SECU Arena for the final time.
How it Happened for Towson (in Rotation Order)
- Vault (rotation one) – 48.975
- Towson got started with a quarter of 9.7+ scores, including on spot two, Polina Belanovski matching a career-high of 9.850.
- Isabella DeCroo, on her Senior Day, earned a 9.825 to match her season-best. Jocelyn Lannon concluded with a 9.775.
- Bars (rotation two) – 49.150
- Towson again got off to a strong start, with Polina Belanovski hitting a 9.800 on her final bars at SECU Arena. Piper Slocum followed on third spot with a new career-high of 9.850.
- Lauren Greene came back and notched a 9.825 on her Senior Day. On the anchor spot, Isabella Minervini continued her dominance with a 9.900.
- Beam (rotation three) – 48.500
- A couple of 9.7+ scores bolstered Towson in the second and third spots, including Polina Belanovski hitting a 9.750, surpassing her career 1,000-point mark.
- Needing to get rid of a fall, Towson got an assist from Celia Trotter with a 9.800, her top score in her last four meets.
- Floor (rotation four) – 49.275
