TOWSON, Md. – For the third time this season,
Joaquin Villagomez has been selected as the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league on Monday.
This is the sixth CAA Offensive Player of the Week award this season for Towson University, including three for Villagomez, two for
Alex Roussel and one for
Mikey Weisshaar.
Villagomez picks up this weekly honor after helping Towson defeat Monmouth 15-10 on Saturday for the team's fifth straight win. Towson stands in first place in the CAA at 3-0.
The redshirt junior attack tallied up three goals, two assists and five ground balls in the victory. Villagomez has at least three points in each of his last nine games.
Towson heads to Virginia on Saturday, April 11 to take on Hampton at noon.
