TOWSON, Md. - Towson University men's basketball associate head coach/director of player development has been selected as the head coach for the U17 Cameroon National Team for the upcoming FIBA U17 World Cup in Istanbul, Turkey.
Bitee was born in Yaoundé, Cameroon and has both playing and coaching experience with the Cameroon national team. He represented his country as a player in the 2007 FIBA Africa Championship in which Cameroon took silver. Bitee brings assistant coaching experience with the senior Cameroon national team to this head coaching appointment.
This will be the first time Cameroon has competed in the FIBA U17 World Cup. The tournament has been hosted every two years since 2010 with 16 teams qualifying.
Bitee will enter his 11th season with Towson during the 2026-27 campaign.
