TOWSON, Md. - The Towson University track & field team has been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross County Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team for the fourth consecutive year, while junior Baara Stewart has received individual honors.
To be recognized as an NCAA Division I All-Academic Team, the team's cumulative grade point average (GPA) must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The Tigers combined to post a 3.22 team GPA over the academic year.
Academic criteria for individuals to be named NCAA Division I All-Academic Athletes includes maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale as well as completing two semesters at the certifying institution. Athletic criteria for the indoor season include having finished ranked in the top 96 in any championship individual event or in the top 48 in any championship relay event. For the outdoor season, the athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Baara Stewart earns her first USTFCCCA All-Academic honor following a standout year. A forensic chemistry major, Stewart competed in 16 meets during the 2025-26 season. The Olney, Maryland native reset seven program records. Stewart also made her first appearance on the national stage at the NCAA East Preliminaries, competing in the 800m.Â
