TOWSON, Md. – Four Towson University field hockey players were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA Division-I watch list, the NFHCA announced Friday. Senior Lydia Bennett, juniors Anouk Westerink and Olivia Miller, and freshman Ann Njoroge were the Tigers named to the list.
 
The NFHCA D-I watchlist recognizes field hockey student athletes who have demonstrated a high level of achievement within the past two years. Honors that qualify student athletes for nomination for the list include NFHCA All-Region and/or NFHCA All-America, being selected to the Senior Nexus Championship, NCAA All-Tournament Team, or being selected to a U.S. or international team roster.
 
Lydia Bennett has appeared in all 18 games in each of the last two seasons for the Tigers. Bennett led the Coastal Athletic Association with four defensive saves in 2025 while scoring two goals and contributed three assists in 2024. Bennett was selected to the Senior Nexus Championship as an alternate in the summer of 2025.
 
Anouk Westerink has started 36 games in her first two years with Towson earning two All-CAA First Team nods and was named to the Preseason All-CAA Team this season. The Ede, Netherlands native has tallied ten goals and 22 points in her career and was named to the NFHCA All-Region Second Team in 2024.
 
Olivia Miller has started every game over her first two seasons totaling eight points. Miller was named to the CAA All-Rookie Team in 2024 and was on the 2025 NFHCA D-I Watchlist. The State College, Pennsylvania native was invited to the Senior Nexus Championship the summer of 2025.
 
Ann Njoroge played in both the Towson's first two games of the 2026 season this past weekend to begin her rookie campaign. Before joining the Tigers, Njoroge won multiple cup tournaments with the Mary Erskine School while also competing in the Scottish Premiership League with Grange Hockey Club. Njoroge was selected to play for the Scotland U16 National Team whom she competed with in the 6 Nations Tournament in 2026.
 
The Tigers are back in action Friday, September 4^th at 2 p.m. for the home opener against Georgetown at TU Field Hockey Complex.
