Matt Hoy made 10 saves in the Tigers’ come-from-behind win at Drexel as No. 15 men’s lacrosse opened Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) action with an 8-7 win on the road. It was the first start of Hoy’s career as he made several timely saves to earn the first victory of his career as well. Hoy, who backed Towson to its sixth-straight win in the first league game of the year, made a save with 12 seconds left on one of the Dragons’ top offensive threats to preserve the victory, Towson’s first at Vidas Field since the 2009 season.
