Nukiya Mayo had a big week to lead the Tigers to a split of their two contests last week. She averaged a team-best 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game while also contributing two assists, four blocks and a steal.

In Towson’s 95-64 win over UMBC, Mayo exploded for a career-high 22 points, it was her first career game with 20 or more points scored. Mayo was particularly impressive from the foul line in that contest as she went 12-for-15 (80%). Mayo made the most free throws by a Tiger since Brittany Tarr had 12 last year against Norfolk State. Her 12 makes from the charity stripe are also tied for second most by a CAA player this season. She added a team-high nine rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block against the Retrievers.

Mayo reached double figures for the second straight game and third time this season as she tied for the team lead with 13 points against Colgate. She also added eight rebounds and a career-high three blocks against the Raiders.
