MORGANTOWN, W. Va. - Led by junior Christina Ghani, who finished 14th in the all-around competition, four Tigers competed at the NCAA Southeast Regional Meet at WVU Coliseum on Saturday night.
One of three Tigers who competed as individual all-arounds, Ghani had a 38.60 all-around score to place 14th. Freshman Jackie Schweitzer placed 19th with a 37.80 all-around score while junior Decelia Willacy finished 21st with a 37.475 all-around score.
Additionally, freshman Alise McDonald competed as a vaulter and had a 9.65 score, finishing 39th in the meet.
Ghani tied for 23rd place in the vault (9.80) while Schweitzer tied for 32nd place (9.75). Willacy earned a 9.70 vault score, placing 37th in the meet.
Schweitzer was the Tigers' top performer on bars as she finished 14th with a 9.75 score while Ghani tied for 31st place (9.625). Willacy took 38th place with a 9.225 score.
On the balance beam, Ghani took 29th place with a 9.45 score. Willacy finished 38th (9.00) while Schweitzer placed 40th (8.85).
With a 9.725 floor score, Ghani finished 20th. Willacy was 36th with a 9.55 score and Schweitzer placed 39th with a 9.45.
UCLA won the regional title with a 195.975 team score.
