BALTIMORE, Md. ? Despite a pair of individual wins from senior Eric Pinno, the Tiger men's swimming and diving team could not overcome a strong effort from Loyola College as the host Greyhounds defeated Towson by a 201-114 verdict at the Mangione Aquatic Center on Saturday afternoon.
Pinno, who was honored as the CAA Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday, won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:42.10 before posting a victory in the 100-yard butterfly with a mark of 49.99 seconds.
Senior Gordon Amato earned a victory in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:11.96 in addition to a second place finish in the 100-yard backstroke, completing the race in 52.40 seconds.
Junior Bradley Bolin won both diving events for the Tigers against the Greyhounds. He scored 267.05 points in the three-meter diving event before posting a score of 272.50 points in the one-meter event.
The Tigers will conclude the regular season at Old Dominion on Saturday.
